A fabled witch. A powerful curse. A monster out for revenge.
13-year-old Kallie Tamm can’t wait to spend a week of her summer holidays at the Wildstorm Theatre Camp: she’s determined not to let her dyslexia hold her back from achieving her dream of becoming a playwright. The finale of the whole week is a performance in the local village theatre. But as soon as she arrives, Kallie discovers that the cast will be performing a play written by a 17th Century witch, Ellsabet Graveheart, and strange, scary things start happening. Unbeknown to Kallie, a dark shadow is stirring in the woodland near Wildstorm: an ancient and dangerous creature has awoken from a centuries old slumber, and they’re out for revenge, putting Kallie and all of her new friends in grave danger.
The Wildstorm Curse is a thrillingly suspenseful story about unlikely heroes and the power of storytelling, from author of The Bird Singers, Eve Wersocki Morris.

I liked the action in when the monster comes
Mysterious curse is falling upon the village, great book for people who like curses, a bit of scare and the theatre.
I thought this book was really good because it combined adventure, magic and drama which are all things that I love!!! I thought it was very exciting and I didn't guess the MASSIVE PLOT TWIST at the end (No spoilers!!) My favourite character was probably Kallie because I think she's a ot like me and my favourite bit was when they went up onto the hill at night. My least favouite bit was when everyone thought Kallie had copied the play. I would give this book 5 stars and I would reccomend this book for readers age 10 to 13
Exciting and mysterious, this book is a good choice
A great book to read in the Summer holidays. Kallie has won a place on a theatre summer school that is preparing a play to perform in a 400 year old theatre that has allegedly been cursed by Ellsabet the witch. Meanwhile something sinister is waking up in the woods. Kallie and her new friend Emilia must find out what is really going on, both in the present and what happened 400 years ago. The power of storytelling is a major theme. Kallie has struggled with dyslexia but now realises this doesn't prevent her from being a playwright.
